Pros

outlined some positives in my previous review after I left in 2024.

Cons

I outlined some cons in my previous review. One of the main points was ‘I fear that complaints against senior staff are dismissed and not escalated as they should be, particularly in the case of one person who has been the reason multiple (brilliantly talented) people have left one team.’ I also advised that senior management ‘Take comments/complaints/exit interview notes seriously - it takes a lot for people to stand up and raise these issues, so actually listen and take action.‘ Sadly, I’ve heard this person has survived a restructure where hundreds of hugely talented people were made redundant. This person now has a shiny new job with an entire new area and team to manage which they have no experience in. Incredible to see that multiple complaints and many people citing this person for the reason they have left the org have been utterly ignored - the lack of integrity/accountability is baffling. Zero performance management has clearly happened. I always saw the NSPCC as somewhere I might return to, but I can say with confidence with that person remaining, I would never. So many ex-colleagues have the same feeling. So sad to see a once brilliant organisation in this state. I was told to raise any concerns directly with NSPCC before and after writing my last review - I did. I requested and had an extensive exit interview with the Director of People, as did many others. Nothing happened as a result of this.
