Pros

Facilities and campus at Newcastle is very nice. Teachers on the shop floor are mainly nice people struggling to stay afloat who are kind and try to support others.

Cons

Ridiculous unmanageable workload and teaching timetable, various units/modules to teach. Even if you lack the knowledge or skills to deliver said topics managers do not care. Teaching staff come and go 'like ships in the night', essentially people vote with their feet and leave because the culture is awful. Intense scrutiny by cold managers and senior leaders with zero people skills who love to wield the power that has been bestowed upon them. Some staff have disappeared over night with no explanation as to what happened to them. Most likely paid off or resigned with immediate effect. 'Bums on seats' culture and revenue generation pervades all areas of work rather than quality of education and positive working environment. Never a Grade 1 college in a million years, exam board rules are broken and manipulated to massage data and make figures and success rates look better. Students are given more upgrade attempts at coursework than they are allowed as well as extra time to prepare for exams. All against the rules, morally and ethically wrong. This institution is built on a bed of lies and deceit, 'smoke and mirrors!'
