They refused to listen to Senior Engineers who knew what was wrong and how to fix it. People who had been there a while were leaving. Management wanted engineers to say "Everything is fine." Then they had a large layoff and eliminated the senior people who were most knowledgeable. All the good management left shortly thereafter.
