Pros

The Nike culture is great, plus the salary and benefits package is comparable to the market...If you love sports and love the competitive culture, it's a great place to be. Enjoyable environment to work in day to day and great teammates who support each other regularly. Overall Nike is a great company and I would recommend anyone who has the opportunity, to work here, just not in the IT organization.

Cons

I can only speak from the IT organization within Nike, but to be frank, common sense does not prevail. You need to be loud and obnoxious if you're looking to be heard, get promoted or looking to advance in your career either within the organization or outside. Communication is not very open or honest. It's a political power grab with some very disconnected leadership starting at the top of the IT organization and trickling down to middle management. If you don't know the right people or aren't a "yes" person, it's tough to grow. It's a large corporation where you are ultimately a number and everyone is expendable regardless of your contributions or impact.

Pros

Working at Nike was a great experience overall. The company culture is energetic, inclusive, and team-oriented. Management encourages employees to embody the Nike brand and provides opportunities for growth within retail and corporate roles. Employee discounts are excellent and make it easy to enjoy the products you sell. The work environment is fast-paced, especially during launches and holiday seasons, which keeps the job engaging. I also appreciated working alongside passionate teammates who genuinely cared about customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.

Cons

Retail schedules can be inconsistent and often include nights, weekends, and holidays. During peak periods, the store can become extremely busy, which can be stressful when balancing customer service expectations with operational tasks. Advancement opportunities can vary depending on store location and management structure.
