Pros
I have worked in this role with NIIT Europe for the past 4 years. I’ve had an exciting, rewarding and sometimes challenging career at NIIT. Life at NIIT for me is ever changing. My day to day work involves a diverse mix of interactions and project work, I am never more than a Teams call away from talking to a colleague in India or Norway or Chicago. It’s very fast paced and you need to be at the top of your game when working here, it is a role that commands the best I have to offer and challenges me to consider different routes to success. We have a real mixed bag of personalities, languages, cultural persuasions and backgrounds within NIIT, it’s a fantastically diverse place to work. As a new mum I have found the flexibility of NIIT’s family friendly policies a huge benefit to my work/life balance.
Cons
Extremely fast paced, you need to be able to task-manage and prioritize your workload very well at NIIT as resources are often stretched and the company expects people to bring their A game. This is not suited to some people, especially if you have not previously worked in a large multi-national and geographically dispersed company before. Bureaucracy can also be a barrier to some decision making, as is the case in most large multifaceted organisations. Internal systems are now being updated which is great to see as they were a source of bottleneck delays for some time. Glad to see a lot of automation and digitisation is happening now.
