Pros
Most employees have a hybrid work arrangement if you live somewhat close to the office (requires 3 days/week for all days). They like to hire remote underwriters with crop experience for obvious reasons.
37.5 hour week/half day on Fridays, flexible schedule if needed, management are enjoyable to work with and they are very knowledgeable.
Cons
Our parent company, QBE, only requires 2 days/week in the office but the NAU Country CEO requires 3 days in the office even though over 1/2 of our department works remotely full time.
Difficult to get another job or promotions within Underwriting as there are very few opportunities.
