Pros

-Helping callers nationwide with resources -Learning about state election rules -Empowering callers with information about their voting rights -Engaging with different Latino groups -Practicing Spanish communication -TV and media exposure

Cons

-Internal office politics -Tons of favoritism in CE (only a few are invited to certain events, or projects) -Nepotism, left and right (several CE operators were directly, or indirectly related to people in higher up positions. overall, this same group received more work than others based on vague, undefined qualities like "skill set," while more experienced operators were not scheduled) -Not very friendly, or helpful co-workers and supervisors (mean and rude, actually) -Not very professional, either (hide your things! personal belongings often go missing) -Hotline operators are seen as 'below' everyone else at the org -Weekly schedules sent via email -Unpredictable schedules, vary significantly each week -High turn over rate for operators

Pros

The mission is excellent, and they really try to provide employees with a great work-life balance.

Cons

They primarily promote from within, so there are few fresh ideas from new people. Leadership is stagnant. Many have them been there for a decade plus.
