Pros

- Friendly and kind employees in general - Flexible working conditions (WFH every day if you want) - Lax working conditions (take 3 hours for an appointment if you want, if you have a headache, take the entire day off if you want, take 30min coffee breaks multiple times a day if you want) - Social club exists, but rather sporadic events, and not many events outside the office walls, so it may not entirely satisfy the extroverts - Supply of fruit, milk, coffee, tea, and almost anything else you want ordered from Coles

Cons

- It's a start up... - Marketing team have done a good job to make the company seem attractive and successful - Priority hiring for Sales/Marketing despite not having enough engineers to build out and ensure the company has a suitably working and robust service for its customers - Has had periods of high staff turnover - Disorganised, excessive tail chasing - Poor management, constant priority shifts, and roadmap delays - Reactive to issues rather than choosing to proactively prevent issues from arising in the first place - Frequent fighting of catastrophic “fires” (because of the point above) - A very small subset of employees have questionable morals and values- will take the easy route and take short cuts just to say something is done, rather than having integrity and adhering to any sort of standard - Large frivolous expenditures (flights, hotels, exec dinners, etc) - There are passionate people who choose to spend their personal time working. Having done this myself, I now realise this was foolish as managers don't acknowledge this or reward people who are more passionate and work harder than those who do the bare minimum and have no passion for the company's vision
