Everything. Your job is to sell people a service that they don't need.
The salesmen are trained to flat out lie to potential customers through the entire phone call. The management advertises that elderly people are the main customer base because they are vulnerable and trusting. The company has put a large amount of money into SEO, so that when people search for help logging into their email, they will be given this company's number. 90% of the people I talked to were old people who thought they were calling AOL.
Once you get on the phone with the lead, you walk them through a "diagnostic program" which tells them about "potential risks" to their computer. This program will result in warnings and scary red symbols 100% of the time, even on a perfectly healthy computer. This "diagnosis" is the biggest lie of them all and it was painful to work for a company that bases its profit off of the vulnerability of senior citizens.
I felt like I had to go home and take a shower after work every day.
If you are considering working for this company, I recommend you go through their training, then afterwards, independently verify every piece of information they give you. They don't only lie to their customers, but they lie to their salesmen as well. If the salesmen believe they are doing a good thing, they are more likely to stick around.
