Pros

Friendly coworkers and nice office space.

Cons

Everything. Your job is to sell people a service that they don't need. The salesmen are trained to flat out lie to potential customers through the entire phone call. The management advertises that elderly people are the main customer base because they are vulnerable and trusting. The company has put a large amount of money into SEO, so that when people search for help logging into their email, they will be given this company's number. 90% of the people I talked to were old people who thought they were calling AOL. Once you get on the phone with the lead, you walk them through a "diagnostic program" which tells them about "potential risks" to their computer. This program will result in warnings and scary red symbols 100% of the time, even on a perfectly healthy computer. This "diagnosis" is the biggest lie of them all and it was painful to work for a company that bases its profit off of the vulnerability of senior citizens. I felt like I had to go home and take a shower after work every day. If you are considering working for this company, I recommend you go through their training, then afterwards, independently verify every piece of information they give you. They don't only lie to their customers, but they lie to their salesmen as well. If the salesmen believe they are doing a good thing, they are more likely to stick around.

Pros

Chill work environment where the managers will work with you on your sales technique, and help you become better at your job. Free payed lunch Fridays.

Cons

Company was going through a rough patch, and as soon as I was hired they told me that I shouldn't come into training because they basically had lost their office due to a problem with a sister company they were working with. They proceeded to change the location 20 miles north of the original office and had us all come in to train. After 2 days on the call floor it turns out that most of the calls are more like cold calls and not what they said about "warm leads". The old people most of the time dont know what they are signing up for on the form and when you call they get angry at you for bothering them. The better salesman left before the job even started. The work is generally tedious and once you actually get someone on the phone interested in the product, the market is so saturated with scammers that people tend believe that you are a scammer. Synopsis: Leads are basically cold, managers work hard to make it better than it really is but you cant turn crap into gold. Owner rarely present, but everyone seems to love him. Cant keep sales people at the company because of the nature of the sale and how they advertise it. Additionally they let me make my schedule at first, but because other people couldn't adhere to theirs they made a different schedule for me because of them.
