Pros
You get a discount that's... not as good as they sell it as.... but it is good.
Cons
The managers do not care at all about the customers. If you care about the customers, you'll get fussed at. You are micromanaged, the rules constantly change. If you don't constantly try to sell gear your customer doesn't need by lying to them, you wont meet quota and you'll get written up. All the gear advisors are literally running scared. This job will also take all of your time. If you're a musician, they act like you will have time to play out. This is a bold lie, and for me was possibly the worst part of the job. It required so much time, and didn't have much payout. Even your "incentive" is pretty cheap for such a big company. I'd only apply if you really have no education or skills. There's also no room to move up in the company. They claim to promote from within, but this is a practice they have stopped since the big Sweetwater scare. Instead, they use their massive amount of money from ripping off customers to just hire old managers from Sweetwater. They do have benefits that are good.
