Corporate monolith - well compensated but frustrating - Senior Vice President Mubadala Employee Review

Usual frustrations of a huge organisation - bureaucratic and slow moving. Often a "computer says no" attitude to change, and promises made by line managers can be blown up as a result. Compensation is pretty much a lockstep (i.e. little to no meritocracy in promotion/bonus structure). The organisation transparently and unapologetically favours UAE nationals over ex pats - this is played out in assignments, promotions, employee review process, and compensation. It is frustrating to be downgraded on a curve grading system to "free up" top grades for unexceptional Emirati colleagues.
