Pros
For the most part the students, faculty and staff are friendly and pleasant. The benefits, including the tuition remission, is the real draw here. Get your Bachelor's degree or Master's degree for free if your a full-time employee.
Cons
Extremely high turnover rate. I've watched 6 or 7 people quit from management positions in the last four months alone. The university has eliminated several key positions to save money despite record enrollment numbers this year. And instead of simply laying people off, the administration has a nasty habit of making writing them up for imaginary infractions and making their life miserable in an effort to make them quit or to fire them "with reason". The high level administration keeps making inexplicable decisions. The university keeps adding more and more students every year without expanding or adding additional residential space. The campus is now at the breaking point for both residential and parking space and I have a feeling they're going to turn around and accept another record number of students next year. Support staff are overworked, underpaid and understaffed.
