Pros

Good benefits. Nice office. Free lunch and snacks.

Cons

Working here made me realize that despite all of the incredibly intelligent and driven employees that work here, an incompetent executive team is more disastrous than all their best efforts. As long as the current leadership team continues to recklessly steer the ship and experience churn, this company will continue to sink. Executive leadership does not know how to lead people, read and understand data, or make good decisions. The majority of the data the leadership team reviews is erroneous, and never questioned. Or, it is manipulated enough to present the desired results. It will be circulated among the executive team or presented to others as fact, but no one knows where it comes from, and the leadership team is unable to answer any basic questions about the source or reliability of any data. Near the end of my time at KeepTruckin, many employees were just “trying to keep their head down and be a yes-man” so as not to ruffle the feathers of their leadership. Your talent will be wasted here when leadership only wants to hear validation that they are right and have the data support their decisions, rather than the other way around and having the strategy supported by credible data and the experienced contributions of the talent they hired. HR is recklessly incompetent with employees’ sensitive information. If you don’t heed the many negative reviews and you do go work here, be sure your insurance options are set up correctly and your elections and contributions are correct. They most likely will not be, and it will take weeks or months of your time to try to fix it and get a reply from HR. Sometimes it might work out in your favor like getting extra contributions that are not taken out of your paycheck and HR does not reply when you try to get it fixed. Other times it may not be favorable, like seeing another employees SSN and personal information associated with your information in their systems. Yikes! Employees were blatantly misled during the hiring process only to come onboard and learn the promises will not come to fruition. Your bonus, compensation, and commissions will be confusing, will change often, and will be promised then taken away. Don’t expect that bonus or any raise - despite the company expecting employees to be available on holidays/weekends/evenings, and often do the job of several roles/people, this company doesn’t see a value in rewarding hardworking and dedicated employees.

Pros

Strong people and culture. Genuinely good colleagues, a collaborative environment, and a place where talented people want to do good work. After many years here, the quality of the people is the thing I'd point to first. Real mission and real product. The work matters — building technology that has a tangible safety impact in the physical world. That gives the work a sense of purpose that's hard to find elsewhere.

Cons

Leadership and organizational clarity could be stronger. As the company has grown, clearer direction, more consistent decision-making, and steadier organizational structure would help people do their best work. Uncertainty. Periods of structural and strategic change can create a sense of instability that's tiring over time, even for people who are otherwise very committed to the company.
