Pros
Agency has flexible schedules and you work enough during the week, you don't have to use PTO for time off.
Cons
The agency is struggling to get through. There are cuts being made on all levels, so there is no guarantee that you will have a long career with the agency. As far as staff, there is a shortage. The agency has burned bridges with direct care staff, that the word is that no one wants to make a career change because the uncertanity of the agency. The agency also lacks consistency and formal systems. Management is not involved at the direct care level and the ultimate focus is MONEY and the level of care questionable. Please be careful on being poached and lured into a position before you leave your current position. The money is great, but your time there will be miserable and the demands are ridiculous, especially when the agency does not have it "together" and expect you to be a "top of the line" supervisor/manager. You are alone and there is no support. Management is always looking to "pin" the blame on someone and long term staff there act like they do not know anything or its their first time hearing of it (although they have been there for 10+ years). This is a faith-based agency, but I will tell you it is the worse group of people you can work with, FAKE. BE CAUTIOUS !!!
