Pros

Moog Protokraft in Kingsport, TN is part of the Power and Data division in Moog INc . This facility only works on high speed electronics for communication inside the defense and avionics sector. That means products are high end and a big focus beside a failure free operation is on size and weight of the product while still being rugged. An interesting challenge for every engineer and a good product range for a technical sales person. The team is rather like a family and teamwork is key. Everybody brings in his expertise which finally makes it a nice work atmosphere

Cons

As military and avionics customers never want what you have, there is a high engineering demand for modifications of existing and new products (which actually is often the fun bit too), but it keeps especially the engineering department busy while the production gets plenty of new/modified products so that it never gets boring. IN a small team you often have more than just one job (again could be fun, at least it is for me..)

Pros

The company has a bit of a startup-like vibe, and still feels established. They’re pretty open to letting younger engineers take on real responsibility , which makes it a good place to grow. From what I’ve seen in all-hands meetings, the senior leadership also seems to genuinely care about employees—you can kind of tell they’re paying attention and trying to take care of the team.

Cons

There’s nothing perfect, enjoy the time when you get in.
