Pros
-Supportive HR
-Job autonomy
-Good CPD opportunities and training team
-Good holiday allowance when the store manager actually upholds it as they are supposed to
Cons
-Very little consistency in upholding the same roles and responsibilities between stores
-Many staff members in store have been employed for a long time and are overly attached to how things used to be done, and as such create processing issues that are potentially very serious. Management tend to be afraid to rock the boat with these employees because hiring can be difficult.
-Can be a bit of an old boy's club, especially at store level. Funnily enough, things get a bit more progressive at the top of the hierarchy but most stores are able to work in isolation and don't get called up on issues as much as they should.
-Low pay across most roles, despite the often heavy workload.
