Pros
The school gave me almost complete control over my curriculum aside from ministry regulated items. I felt very supported by my principals in the HS and was given funding for various projects when I requested it. The staff community at MKS is unlike anywhere else... many of the teachers get together for dinners, drinks, breakfasts, etc. There is a pretty strong teacher community. Students are pretty solid too. Much better than at other schools in Bahrain! Very creative, excited to learn, and fun to get to know- with a few exceptions of course.
Cons
Sometimes there is a level of miscommunication between staff and higher admin which results in frustration. If teachers submit very clear and detailed requests, they are usually okay. Teachers who require a ton of hand-holding and support don't always do well here. A little confidence and some commitment to the kids serves teachers well here.
