The company management is lacking direction, empathy and basic integrity. They recently announced the removal of the unlimited PTO benefit as well as a drastic reduction of mental health days. At the All Hands, the CEO said it was done because someone abused unlimited PTO. Apparently people taking PTO led to hiring more folks which they didn’t need and that’s why they ended up doing two rounds of layoffs. So basically, they blamed their own employees for the layoffs because folks took PTO (which they were entitled to). Unbelievable They then went on to pretty much say “if you don’t like this change, you’re free to leave”. Also saying that PTO benefits shouldn’t be the motivator for folks here and instead it should be the mission and career development. Harping on about “doing more with less, work harder etc.” To the leadership team - you say we should be motivated by career development, yet your managers have no training to promote this. You barely do any promotions/raises. A lot of employees themselves do not recommend Modern Health as a good place to work.
