Pros
- Some of the employees are extremely talented, friendly folks. - No short term contracts. You'll be working a full time schedule.
Cons
- Extremely low pay, and you will be constantly be told to be thankful for that pay. - Client is extremely abusive, requesting impossible services and overtime. They go out of there way to be venomous to the contracted QA. - Mobius itself refuses to protect employees from aforementioned client. - No other clients coming any time soon. - Little to no useful training. The training that is given is project specific and is outdated. - Both the client and mobius are in the process of discouraging developer to QA, QA to developer, and inner-office communication. - The levels are QA1, QA2, Senior QA2, Assistant Lead, and Lead. Promotions and pay rates are completely random. Some people are hired in at QA1 for $15.00 per hour, others are assistant leads or leads making $11.00 per hour. - Mobius management (outside of QA) is completely clueless about what their own company does. - They have a Morale Committee to try and settle the extremely toxic atmosphere, but it really just exists to buy snacks once a month and to spy on employees for the upper management. - Office itself is a sweatshop. Plastic tables lined up, jury-rigged daisy-chained power strips with computers that Mobius is renting from its client. "Trail" to nearby Meyer is a muddy pit covered in thorn bushes. Management discourages use of the door that allows employees to avoid the obstacles. - Use of pirated software for testing.
