Pros
Supportive seniors at the beginning of my career.
Allowed WFH during COVID-19.
Cons
Non-payment of 'gratuity' despite five years of service.
Unsatisfactory salary increments
do not provide any compensation for extra hours.
Do not celebrate every year or take on trip.
Internal politics
They smartly took advantage of needy people.
People who flatter seniors and management receive appreciation. For example, some non-tech techs who were not working enough took more packages than some of the seniors. As I know, one Sr HR earns more than a scrum master.
Some management individuals take credit for 70% of your hard work without actually contributing anything.
Managers put the blame for project escalation on your head and ask you to give clarification, even though they are there throughout the project,
and they made mistakes, and not gathering requirements and the contract properly with the client should take some responsibility for it. They lied to the client about your skills and experience.
Some marketing and management people insert their legs into design. Those who don't know how to change images or tables in PowerPoint presentations (asking for help every time without shame, and they fill out your form of increments).
If markets are down, they do not put cuts in their own pockets, they cut on staff and their increments.
