Pros

The leadership does a great job of being on the floors and seeing what front line staff really do. Then they take that back and think of ways to improve the hospital and healthcare system to better our community(ies). I love the team I work with and every person I run into.

Cons

It may take a little time to become hired, but it is worth it for our patients. And in the long run for you as an employee!

Pros

Great nurses, resilient community, many leadership growth opportunities, large hospital with many specialties, the only level 1 trauma center in WNC.

Cons

The hours are very challenging. often 5am to 6pm M-F. No additional compensation for extra hours, nights, or on-call weekends. You must love the work, and have minimal need for work-life balance to enjoy working here.
