Pros
Best training in the industry and high level of patient care/best practices. Getting licensed from them is tedious and extensive, but made me a well rounded provider with high standards of testing, fitting, and aftercare to give my current patients an overall great experience instead of just a quick sale.
Cons
You are over worked and under paid unless you come in already licensed when hired. I saw trainees get treated like personal assistants and disrespected and felt little job security from the turnover and atmosphere that we were replaceable. Potential for advancement is limited beyond dispensing in a clinic unless you buy into franchise as an owner or play the politics for a manager role in the larger franchises. Favoritism and Nepotism were common and pay scale and structure varied drastically for same jobs.
