Pros
As an intern, I felt I was fully able to benefit from the internship experience at Mirabeau. Mine was a research internship, hence it was aligned more with a research project than a specific project at Mirabeau per se. Some key highlights for me
1) The independence and freedom that Mirabeau gives you is AMAZING! I could carry out my research project at Mirabeau exactly the way I was hoping to
2) I'm very grateful for the flexibility that was shown to accommodate my interests
3) Hats off to my internship supervisor, for always being supportive. Even through all the challenges I had faced, I was always given a lot of support
Cons
The independence that's given to you has the flipside of not always having someone that can offer solutions. You have to go find solutions to your challenges. You have to come up with next steps and pitch them out
It's not a huge con. It helps in the long-term because it sharpens critical skills of resilience and ownership of your work!
