Pros
There are many good hearted people that work there.
Cons
In my entire work life, this is literally the worst company I have every worked at. It starts at the top. The CEO prioritizes personality and fealty above professionalism, expertise, competence, achievement, and accountability. I have never experienced the type of dysfunctional leadership that I did while at Mindful Health.
If you work for this company, you will hear the word "culture" thrown around continuously. " Culture" at Mindful Health is code for, does the CEO like you and do the people she likes, like you.
Imagine firing a director level employee because, "none of the other women liked her," she didn't fit in with the "culture." It's the epitome of surrounding yourself with bootlickers and "yes men." It is a culture that, by the time I left, had a 47% turnover rate. That should tell you everything you need to know about the company culture.
Mindful Health is a company where your work history, expertise, and opinion have no value. If there is any thought that you will work at Mindful Health to do what you're good at, disavow yourself of the thought. Since the CEO knows all, you are merely there to extend her work capacity. As long as you curry favor with the CEO, you can be put into any role regardless of your ability to perform it successfully and regardless of how many mistakes you make.
From her own mouth, she has repeatedly stated that she would take a hard worker any day over someone with a impressive resume. She is totally oblivious to the idea that there are hard workers who also have impressive resumes.
So, if you're the kind of person who's willing to suck up to the CEO in order to mitigate your lack of skill, accountability, talent and other professional shortcomings, Mindful Health is the place for you.
