Great team culture - everyone is very efficient, responsive, and quick to take action. The office is beautiful and in a fantastic location. The environment is highly international, which makes collaboration dynamic and interesting. The projects are exciting and innovative, spanning not just animation but also production pipelines, AI, and XR, giving strong exposure to cutting-edge technology. I also learned a lot about working with AI tools and modern production pipelines. Creativity and autonomy are highly valued, which makes it a great place to grow and take ownership of your work.

I was hired by Mimic Productions, under the promise of a competitive paycheck and a chance to grow within the company. I was initially excited about the opportunity, but unfortunately, my experience ended up being quite disappointing. Throughout my time at the company, I was asked to take on numerous tasks and responsibilities that aligned with my skills and expertise. However, despite delivering high-quality work, I was consistently overlooked for any form of recognition, raises, or promotion opportunities. I was frequently told that my contributions were appreciated, but when it came time for follow-through, promises of financial compensation or career advancement were never fulfilled. I had frequent interactions with the management team, particularly one individual (senior manager), who promised certain benefits and growth. However, these promises were never honored, and ultimately, I was let go from the company without any prior warning or clear explanation. It felt like my skills were exploited for the benefit of the company, and when I had contributed enough, they simply let me go without the paycheck I had been promised. This experience was not only disheartening but also left me questioning the company's treatment of its employees. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a supportive work environment or fair compensation. The lack of transparency and integrity was glaring, and I regret my time spent working there.
