As with all government work, sometimes there can be a bit of bureaucracy. Though MCC is less bureaucratic than other agencies, and junior officers also have the opportunity to sit in important meetings and be involved in important conversations, sometimes it can feel like your skills are underused for things such as taking notes, managing calendars, etc. People are also really committed to what they do, so it can feel like you also have to work all the time to demonstrate your commitment to the work and the mission.
