First, I want to thank you for your time working at Miles Technologies. I hope that you had positive experiences that you can look back on and feel that you gained valuable experience working with our staff and our customers.
I also appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. One of our Beliefs is Continuous Improvement, and I take constructive feedback seriously. I feel it's the only way we have an opportunity to truly improve.
I will do my best to address the specific feedback.
We absolutely value loyalty. Our hope is that all members of our team have a long and fulfilling career at Miles Technologies. We also realize that other opportunities arise, and we support former team members' new ventures, whatever they may be. In terms of performance, we must value that in order to experience success with our customers and as a company. We have numerous staff members that have progressed and advanced in a relatively short amount of time due to going above and beyond in delivering great service and adding incredible value to both fellow staff members and customers.Our Career Planning and Goal Setting process is designed to help our staff progress regardless of how long they have been with us.
In terms of communication, there is a saying that you can't over communicate. I think that saying is true. As much as I try to communicate direction and vision to our staff, I am sure I can do a better job of more frequent communications with the entire company. I will work on that.
Regarding termination of staff, unfortunately, there have been times where we had to make very tough decisions. It's hard to do, but if it's the right decision, it should be done as it's not the right fit for either the individual or the company. We are working hard at improving our candidate screening process so we make even better hiring decisions.
In terms of management structure, it has really expanded over the past several years. We have numerous staff in management and leadership roles, and we are actively conducting workshops aimed at further development of both leadership and management skills. I also know that we have incorporated many ideas (both work environment and service related) from many people across our entire company.Our company is lucky to have so many people that care enough to provide great input.
On the facilities, the building does have quite a bit of character, being over 60 years old. Despite the age of the building, we actively perform maintenance and update the aesthetics both in the interior office space and exterior. We'll keep working on this - there is always something to do.
