Pros

The best part of my role is being able to help both students and staff every day. I take great pride in supporting others and ensuring that everyone is treated with fairness, respect, and care. This position allows me to make a positive impact on the school community by fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. It’s truly rewarding to see the growth and success of the people I work with and to know that I’ve played a meaningful part in their journey.

Cons

While I value my role, I’ve noticed that the company’s values don’t always align with what’s practiced day-to-day. There is a visible lack of respect at times, and some individuals tend to take on (or take advantage of) more than what’s appropriate, which can create tension and imbalance within the team. Additionally, the level of disorganization is noticeable and can affect productivity and morale. With stronger leadership and a new generation of management focused on integrity, collaboration, and accountability, I believe the school could reach its full potential and truly thrive.

Pros

Working for two plus years at Mildred Elley College, the administration has always been very professional and receptive to teachers' opinions. The students are all pursuing careers in the medical field and are a joy to teach. My own experience as a professor at ME is one of great fulfillment in the classroom. I also feel a part of the educational process at a higher level. The administration seeks out my input on educational matters. It is very important for a professor to be asked for input and to have one's opinions considered valuable. My immediate bosses include me in decisions and seek out my expertise in recruitment and retention of students. One of my classes is Freshman Seminar, which is the first class new students take. So it's important for me to be, in a sense, the "face of the school" to these students. I'm gratified the administration trusts me in that role. Great place to work, in the Wall Street area of Manhattan.

Cons

I wish we had other campus locations in the city.

Pros

Earned a paycheck, some friendly faces.

Cons

Your job is to manipulate students to sign up for a greedy private, for-profit college that sets them up to fail. Check the graduation rate for students on all campuses. Students do not get the resources they need to pass and so they fail and have to re-take (and are re-charged) for the same classes over and over. Working here, you willingly participate in (primarily) poor and working class (many teenagers right out of high school, unsure of how college works) students being exploited for every dime. It is soulless work, and I felt like a horrible person when I went into work each day. As another reviewer mentioned, we're not making the lives of students better. We're signing them up for something which the vast majority of them will benefit from (again, please google those graduation rates). We're just making the senior management/execs even more wealthy. Even if you really need the paycheck, there are many low-salary positions like this available that don't make you lesser.
