Pros
I worked at the agency as a specialist then a manager for 2.5 years and had a very positive experience. I was able to work on multi-channel, multi-country lead gen and e-commerce brands, lead strategy, and collaborate with an incredibly smart and driven team. There is a clear progression path and the leadership team takes into account each person's individual skills and tries to make sure there is a good mesh between teams and clients. As someone who doesn't come from Italy but has experience in other workplaces in Italy (where salaries and company transparency are low), I appreciated the care and attention Midsummer brings to making sure salaries are competitive for the region, contracts are all above board (this is not to be taken for granted here!) and work-life balance is valued. You're never pressured to be available on weekends or after work hours. Something else I always appreciated is the sense that the leadership team has your back and trusts your management decisions. They also give employees the means and resources to upskill. All in all a great place to work with smart and kind colleagues.
Cons
Some client industries are more exciting than others — but that’s agency life. Salaries are competitive within the region, but in salaries are quite low in Italy in general. The leadership team gives benefits to try and mitigate this, though (training budget, social budget, welfare card).
