Faculty are not see as an important part of the institution - Instructor Midland University Employee Review

Faculty are not seen as important and faculty pay is below market rate. Midland has resorted to hiring many adjuncts (less pay and no benefits). Focus seems to be more on athletics (they have the most varsity sports offerings in the state) than academic programs. Many of the building are falling apart and in disrepair due to continued deferred maintinance.
