Pros

1. Massive exposure and experience you can gain from here as everyone wears dual hat or more, regardless of your existing experience and age. Good for fresh graduates who have no prior professional experience to compare

Cons

1. Frequent reorganisation leading to frequent change in management and its team member, which is not sustainable and beneficial to the company and employee 2. 100% connection based- so long as you have the connection, you will get the job. Doesn’t matter if you cannot speak the language or have zero experience in that function 3. Unethical practice - completely unethical and unprofessional practices in all subsidiaries that nothing can or will be done, yet again due to “connection” 4. Wants globalisation but do not have international mindset. Management comes to subsidiaries with the mindset: “if it works in China, it will definitely work in other countries”. 5. Ultimately will only favor, trust and promote their own people- the Chinese. When the real business experts and the one getting real work done and not busy buttlicking 24/7 are the locals (aka foreigners).

Pros

Relatively good benefits, PTO, experience

Cons

Whatever Midea has to offer, don’t go there even if you feel like you have few other options. Or at least ask around how many PMs have quit over the past few years before you even think about becoming one.
