Pros

Opportunity for young engineers to get great training. Not many meetings to attend. Many nice and trustworthy people to work with.

Cons

Most depressing place I have ever worked, from the moment you arrive at the plant and badge in signaling your manager's "time clock" to start your day, as you make your way through the dark halls and arrive at your cube to find your cube mate already working..you know that you only have 9.5 hours to go until you leave (because you know we will go ahead and subtract off that lunch hour from you daily total). Seriously, actually having scripts that account for your employees time in the compound doesn't foster an environment where employees are motivated to work hard..instead they will do their time and go home. In all honesty though, Micron needs to stay competitive, otherwise there will be too much dependence on the Korean companies. It must find ways to attract and retain creative engineers in order to survive. And to do this you must treat them with dignity.

Pros

Decent pay, great stock grants and stock purchase plan. You can be at the forefront of memory technology driving today's AI megaboom, and benefit from the high demand (i.e. soaring stock price).

Cons

Little sense of community, lifeless office environment, dead-eyed and overworked employees. "Flexible work arrangements" in name only, as recent policy changes have significantly reduced effectiveness especially if you have a long commute or family life. Too much emphasis on unimportant buzz such as embracing diversity and inclusion is just annoying, but par for the course in today's big tech industry.
