Pros
Great for learning technical embedded skills Allows for creativity Normally, it's stable Transparency is high Microchip makes a small piece of everything that makes the world go round. Does a reasonably good job taking care of customers.
Cons
Painful layoff occurred in 2025... but Microchip resists layoffs very hard, to their credit. However, Microchip is no longer immune to layoffs, despite a 25 year streak. Compensation not kept on track very well. Quarterly comp budgets are generally poor.
