Pros
Great mission, great location, fun staff at every level, everyone wants to partner and thinks the science center is great! The work done here rarely feels like work because it's fun and interesting. The new CEO is very positive and optimistic about the future of the science center and the staff culture. This was a really great job that was only frustrating because of some staff members.
Cons
There are some staff members that have no business working there and upper management refuse to do anything about it. They're either under qualified, lazy or both. Some of the laziness could have been developed while on the job because people aren't pushed by their managers to be successful - there are no repercussions. Because of that, progress in every department is seriously hindered and often more problems arise. Staff aren't expected to work as hard as they should even though everyone complains about working incredibly hard. This is something the organization could overcome by setting an example of letting staff go who aren't willing to invest in the positive and hardworking culture that's desperately needed. The building is old and past leadership did nothing to ensure it's longevity. Some very costly repairs and upgrades are needed to make it stand out among other organizations.
