Pros
I joined MFP because I wanted to offer wealth management services to my clients. Not only do we have access to state of the art investment and financial planning tools, we have outstanding risk transfer products with MassMutual as a primary carrier. Management is supportive and attentive not only to the newest producers (an industry trend) but to experienced advisors who want to grow their practices.
Cons
This is a challenging career, requiring a high level of accountability and responsibility for one's own results. This business isn't for everyone. It takes vision, drive and determination to get through days when prospects don't become clients, insurance policies don't get approved, or the market takes a downturn resulting in worried clients. It's a high paying occupation and it wouldn't be if it were easy.
