Cons
I've thought long and hard about what I'd want to say about this company. Worst job I've EVER had. There isn't much to say that hasn't been said already by others in the previous reviews. The same issues stated in other reviews are still present. The environment of this company is toxic. Management cannot get their communication together to lead a department. There are team leads who are not even trained in the processes. Why promote someone to a lead position that cannot lead the team, or let alone know how to perform a process? Training here is another issue, those that have been promoted from lab aid to techs haven't been trained for months because senior techs are no longer allowed to train because they are not "qualified," except most of the senior techs have been there LONGER than the training coordinator, the training coordinator WAS TRAINED BY THE SENIOR TECHS! The VP talks down to about the department team in a condescending manner and is a habitual liar. Techs are called into the office and interrogated about what is going on inside the lab and makes judgements and categorizes people based on hear-say. The VP brings the morale of the department down, continues to create tension between everyone and causes these negative reviews. We are constantly behind on production and required mandatory overtime (it jumped from 5-->10hrs of overtime). From the day that I started till the day I quit, there was only a 1 month period where mandatory overtime wasn't enforced. 10hrs of overtime would be "ok" if they gave JUST 10hrs worth of work, but this place will make sure to get everything they can out of you. If you don't sign up for overtime, don't worry, you'll still get the overtime work. Overtime is forced upon everyone. If you must use the restroom, eat, take a break, or even get water, don't bother management will just assume you're wasting time. On many occasions we’re not able to take breaks or even a lunch because the amount of work assigned. The Turnover rate is so ridiculous that management is offering a $500 referral bonus to anyone that stays at least 6 months. They even gave all lab aids and techs a “raise” in hopes of keeping them around. They'll tell you that there is room to grow and move up but that's also a lie. It's best to just look for another job, or not work here at all. There are so many holes in this company and the biggest issue is management, they don't communicate with anyone! It's their way or no way at all. They will ask you on how to make improvements but it’s all a waste. Nothing improves unless it directly involves the benefits of management. With so many negative things about this company, I’d like to end on a positive note. The techs and lab aids make this place. Although everyone has their differences, everyone worked to help each other out in a “fend for yourself” work environment. I wish nothing but the best for my former co-workers, you all deserve the best!
