Difficult time - Project Manager Metropolitan Transportation Commission Employee Review

I joined at a time when both I and my manager were new. It was a difficult adjustment, and I often felt like I wasn’t given the same opportunity to settle in as others. Some expectations felt inconsistent—for instance, being asked to come into the office regularly while my manager and their manager were never present. That left me feeling disconnected and unsupported. At my previous jobs, I was always able to form good working relationships with my managers, and those connections made a difference. Here, I struggled to build that same kind of rapport. Leadership felt distant, and I rarely received acknowledgment or guidance. Diversity seems to be a big issue here.
