Pros
After seeing some (not all) of the reviews here I feel compelled to share my two cents. I worked here for several years and can confidently say that everything I learned from the leadership team at Metis contributed directly to my success today. It wasn't easy work, but what great work is? If you're smart enough to take advantage of the access and mentorship the senior management team offers, you'll be infinitely better for it. You're the captain of your ship here. Do your job, be accountable, display ownership and responsibility, communicate your passions and you'll unlock the treasure chest at Metis. If you're struggling, communicate it and the leadership will jump in and help you. They are more open to professional development than many other agencies. They want people to grow with their company and invest heavily in training, education, and mentorship. For those looking for the soft perks, Metis is pretty generous in my opinion when it comes to time off, full coverage w/ HR benefits, flexible WFH policy, lots of opportunities for office fun and socializing w/ winter & summer company outings, a keg, beautiful office w/ ping pong table, etc.
Cons
The firm is extremely committed to quality for its clients, if you consider that a con. I know from experience that these high standards are over-communicated in the interview process. There is no sugar-coating that being the best can translate to a demanding work environment. They're honest so that those looking for a 9-5 job will understand that awesome client service means you sometimes have to work outside of that time frame. Metis is loved by clients because they become extensions of their team, and that sometimes means supporting them off-hours. Candidates looking for a 9-5 would do much better working at a larger firm where it's easier to get away with less than awesome results and be satisfied with growing at a much slower pace.
