Pros

- Some of the teams are great - Some great people - Some of the benefits are good - London office space is fantastic - There's flexibility to move roles/teams if you want it - Methods does have a good reputation in some industries/clients

Cons

- Internally CEO approval is very low, no one I know rates Peter - There's no leadership behaviour at all from the top - We hardly ever hear/see anything of any senior leaders - The only strategy is high utilisation and higher margins - Lots of the work is boring - Lots of the work is body shoping - It's an uninspiring place to work - Everyone in the SLT is white - Almost all the SLT is male - Interest in diversity and inclusion is tokenistic - The HR team has fallen apart and has been absent for too long - For some it's a never ending bid factory - Progression is very limited for most - It's like working for a company stuck in the 1980s in many ways

Thank you for taking the time to review your employment at Methods. We agree and are proud that Methods has a good reputation with our clients and a fabulous London office space. It’s great to see so many people making use of this space after the pandemic. Methods’ professional resourcing offering (body shopping) has been the backbone of the business for over 30 years, and we are very proud of high-quality capability and expertise we deliver to our clients You have raised some concerns around the diversity and inclusion within the team, and we would encourage you to come and speak to HR regarding this as this is something we take seriously and are constantly improving. We ensure all our team complete training in this area annually, and we support our diversity, inclusion & equity working group who regularly meet. Thank for your comments regarding the Senior Leadership Team, again we would encourage you to speak to us about this and share your thoughts. Methods’ HR team underwent significant change at the start of the year, and we have subsequently invested more in this area as we recognise that is pivotal in supporting the development of our employees and the growth of the business. If you would like to discuss this further, do please contact me via feedback@methods.co.uk

Pros

I left Methods for what I thought would be 'greener pastures' and returned very quickly. They always said the door was open and that was true and for that I am very thankful. In terms of progression I have had an excellent experience joining as a graduate and working my way up it has made me feel valued. The people I work with on a day to day basis are truly wonderful and some of the best I could ask for. The clients are always interesting and projects that actually make a difference to people

Cons

Although I consider it 'on the up' their are still some concerns: - staff turnover hasn't been great in what was a turbulent time and lost some great people (hopefully they come back as I did) but I like to view this as a chance to grow again building great teams and learning from past mistakes. - there is still a 'londoncentric' focus to things with any fun event being at the main office.

Pros

The team you work with - generally when its backs against the wall, they pull through - working together to get stuff done for clients. Great clients - some long standing clients that make it worthwhile. remote working - never had a problem with remote working whilst with Methods

Cons

Management - since it was taken over, it's gone severely downhill. A whole raft of new management levels brought in, to produce next to nothing apart from eating into profits resulting in next to no bonus for anyone. 4 years, no promotions - just the usual 'we'll see what happens in 6 months' carrots being dangled I left, they needed to bring in 3 people to do my job - says it all really You'll get on if you manage to get in a clique with the right people

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for recognising the positive aspects of your experience, particularly the commitment of your colleagues, our client relationships, and the flexibility of remote working. We are pleased that these elements made a positive impact during your time with us. We are sorry to hear that your overall experience did not meet your expectations. We recognise that periods of organisational change can create challenges and may affect how decisions are experienced by employees. As our business has evolved, we have introduced new structures and leadership roles to support growth, governance, and long-term sustainability, although we appreciate that not everyone will view these changes positively. Your comments regarding reporting requirements and ensuring decision-making remains closely aligned with client and project needs are valuable, and feedback such as yours helps inform ongoing improvements. We appreciate the contributions you made during your time with Methods and wish you every success in your future career.
