Pros

I left Methods for what I thought would be 'greener pastures' and returned very quickly. They always said the door was open and that was true and for that I am very thankful. In terms of progression I have had an excellent experience joining as a graduate and working my way up it has made me feel valued. The people I work with on a day to day basis are truly wonderful and some of the best I could ask for. The clients are always interesting and projects that actually make a difference to people

Cons

Although I consider it 'on the up' their are still some concerns: - staff turnover hasn't been great in what was a turbulent time and lost some great people (hopefully they come back as I did) but I like to view this as a chance to grow again building great teams and learning from past mistakes. - there is still a 'londoncentric' focus to things with any fun event being at the main office.

Pros

The team you work with - generally when its backs against the wall, they pull through - working together to get stuff done for clients. Great clients - some long standing clients that make it worthwhile. remote working - never had a problem with remote working whilst with Methods

Cons

Management - since it was taken over, it's gone severely downhill. A whole raft of new management levels brought in, to produce next to nothing apart from eating into profits resulting in next to no bonus for anyone. 4 years, no promotions - just the usual 'we'll see what happens in 6 months' carrots being dangled I left, they needed to bring in 3 people to do my job - says it all really You'll get on if you manage to get in a clique with the right people

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for recognising the positive aspects of your experience, particularly the commitment of your colleagues, our client relationships, and the flexibility of remote working. We are pleased that these elements made a positive impact during your time with us. We are sorry to hear that your overall experience did not meet your expectations. We recognise that periods of organisational change can create challenges and may affect how decisions are experienced by employees. As our business has evolved, we have introduced new structures and leadership roles to support growth, governance, and long-term sustainability, although we appreciate that not everyone will view these changes positively. Your comments regarding reporting requirements and ensuring decision-making remains closely aligned with client and project needs are valuable, and feedback such as yours helps inform ongoing improvements. We appreciate the contributions you made during your time with Methods and wish you every success in your future career.

Pros

• Fair few people still trying to do right by customers • Free pizza on Thursdays (about the highlight, to be honest) • Decent enough office • Fancy coffee machine • Some good clients, which helps offset the internal chaos

Cons

• Baffling decisions coming from the top, half of them make no sense • Struggle to get even the basics sorted for staff • Happy to chuck money at overpaid leadership while squeezing everyone else • Internal teams all over the place, no proper direction • No real investment in training or development • Everything gets stuck in slow, clunky internal processes • Diversity and inclusion talked about, but not taken seriously • Internal comms banging on about stuff no one actually cares about • Running it like a body shop rather than a proper consultancy • Strategy feels like it’s made up as they go along • Internal functions managed on a “that’ll do” basis • Clients starting to lose confidence • Can be a pretty toxic environment at times • Innovative? As if.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to read about your experience and the frustrations you’ve highlighted. We take concerns around leadership decisions, internal processes, and clarity of direction very seriously. We understand that internal communications can sometimes feel disconnected from day-to-day realities, we have been making changes to improve how we communicate strategy and ensure communications are more relevant, transparent and reflective of what matters most to our teams. We recognise there is still more to do, We would welcome the opportunity to understand your experience in more detail - if you’re open to it - you can contact internal communications or HR directly at so we can continue the conversation and ensure your feedback informs the changes we’re making.
