Pros

From day one, I genuinely felt a strong sense of purpose and teamwork at Methodist. As a new team member, I've felt welcomed, supported, and encouraged. There is clear investment in employee wellness, engagement, and professional growth. Leaders are approachable and open to collaboration which makes a huge difference.

Cons

Because it's a large organization, some decisions and processes take time and require coordination.

It's incredibly encouraging to hear that you felt a sense of purpose and teamwork from day one. Creating a welcoming environment where team members feel supported, valued, and empowered to grow is central to who we're, and we are grateful that this has been your experience. We also appreciate your thoughtful insight about decision-making and cross-department communication. As a large organization, coordination can take time, and feedback like yours helps us continue improving how we share resources and highlight wellness initiatives across campuses. Thank you for being engaged in both the work and our ongoing growth.

Pros

Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.

Cons

More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.
