Pros
Great group of people around you to make work enjoyable. Company recently relaxed their flexible work requirements to make it slightly more beneficial.
Cons
Definite divide between upper management and average worker considering it is employee ownership company. Requirements to get to next level are murky for those they want it to be and magically different for those that are their chosen. What can take a several years with one person asking for steps to next level, another one can get to next level in six months or less with no explanation why they got short tracked. Often a person who has done a solid job for 3-4 year might find themselves close in salary to new hires. Compensation studies they do to make sure pay is on par with the industry is never shared with the employee owners. We are just told everything was good. Transparency is definitely lacking between the senior management and executive team with the common employee.
