Cons
I was part of a number of people who left Mesa in 2020 after working there just over a year. Mesa made working during the pandemic unsafe and hazardous. My leaving was directly related to this problem that Mesa created by requiring work that can be done remotely be done in an office. I wanted to do this work at home where I was not exposed to COVID. I help care for terminally sick family members, which Mesa knew, and I could not risk infecting them. Mesa did not care and did not work with me on this. They insisted I show up and sit in my cubicle for no real reason related to my job. When I refused, they put me on a performance plan. When I met their goals and continued my great IT work, they made up new rules and rid themselves of me using those new rules. I learned from people I worked with that other co-workers would go through my belongings at my desk and ask questions about my life to find things HR could use against me. Mesa's performance plan included demands I change details of my personal life for no real reason other than to control me. So you can't trust anyone there, they're all buddy-buddy and very much about driving people off that they don't like. I never had problems with anyone that I knew of, this was a problem in their minds. How they acted on those ideas was wrong. Working there was so incredibly violating. I have a much better job now and I laugh at those people who tried to hurt me and the fact they're stuck being miserable at Mesa.
