Pros
No pros. This place is seriously hellish.
Cons
By far the WORST job I've ever had. The management is absolutely horrific and will gaslight you beyond belief. The gallery "owners" do not care about their employees and see them as completely disposable. If you're under 30 and/or do not have children they will not respect you or your personal life. The two sisters who run this place along with their puppet "director" don't know anything about actual good art and it's clear that they just inherited the business from their parents. They're grown women who act like total brats who have never been told "no" a day in their lives. The director is terrified to leave or speak up for herself and is brainwashed from working there for 20+ years. Money hungry, greedy women who make millions of dollars while only paying the artists a fraction of the cost of the pieces and not paying their over worked, under appreciated employees a livable wage. DO NOT WORK HERE!!! Unless you personally love being verbally abused on a day to day basis or if you can legitimately read minds you will be miserable. If you're not a sales consultant, be prepared to pick up the slack of the entire business even if it isn't in your job description. These people only care about bringing in as much money as humanly possible so the sales consultants are treated better than all other employees and do 1/4 of the work. The sisters are also incredibly hypocritical and basically live by "do as I say not as I do" with their employees. There is a reason this place has so much turnover.
