Pros
I have always had wonderful coworkers and managers. Good benefits.
Cons
Poor upper level management communication. Decisions made by just a few corporate executives that affect all of patient care without consult from staff. Horrible pay. Poor employee treatment when it comes to taking time off for physical health and family emergencies. They make you feel like your job is on the line when you deal with emergencies outside of work that are out of control. I had a coworker who had over half of her colon removed with a colostomy placement and they put her on final notice for attendance. I met a retired nurse who worked for Mercy for 15 years that they fired while she was undergoing breast cancer treatment. Coworkers are treated like objects for profit gain, not human beings
