Pros
- Great flexibility with work from home and time off - Outside Boston, so if you live in Boston, driving out of the city in the morning is not too bad - Big company, so there are plenty of opportunities available for lateral movement. - Helped me develop my client facing communication skills and my SQL abilities
Cons
- Lots of time entry systems to use - Colleagues do not seem to learn, always ask questions they should already know answers to - Big company, so it is easy to get lost among everyone - Extremely difficult to get an adequate raise or promotion, I applied for a promotion and received zero response after 6 months. I was told that I needed to wait as there was a waitlist for the promotion, which makes no sense because the team I was on was depleted and the position was posted online, so it had to be available. - The enjoyment of your experience here will largely dependent upon the team you are on. I liked my team initially, then the good people left and got replaced with less competent people, and I was asked to help assist more clients, on the same pay and work hours.
