Pros
some very clever people working in the consulting businesses doing interesting and well-respected work if you're at a lower level in the company, you'll find it easy to leave work on time
Cons
too many employees with no employment record outside Mercer have too much influence over decisions- vetoing new ideas, new styles etc. no experience outside the company has made them insular, self-protecting, defensive, and prone to unnecessarily challenge and drag out every new idea that might expose existing inefficiencies or hierarchies.
