Retail is a needed segment where face to face interaction of employees is needed. Consistent need for employees is needed given that it is customer focused.
Cons
There is a lack of family life work balance and it is extremely difficult to scheduled days off. Working in retail is consistently demanding, hard on the feet, and doesn't provide an opportunity to use skills from a bachelor of masters level education.
