Pros
My job was fun as I got to meet some very nice people. Estimating was exciting, helping people build their homes from the foundation to the last shingle. I would say that Instant Profit Sharing is really cool but when you cut my IPS from $7,500 down to $1,500, I could care less.
Cons
They changed my pay, no more commission/SPIFs/etc., so I went from making $40,000+ to barely making over $20,000. Then they wonder why I had a "salty attitude". If your pay got cut in half, wouldn't you be upset to for working almost 50 hours a week? I got paid the same as someone selling hammers but I would sell projects easily over $100,000+. Please cut back on the Micromanagement. Menards used to be a great place to work, now it's a joke. Favoritism is a joke, your cameras are for corporate to watch employees from their cushy offices. You talk about offering great customer service to all the guests but treat your employees like crap. Your employees is what makes YOU money. Treat them like crap, they will treat customers like crap because they hate working there. Simple business 101.
