Pros

It was a job that you can quickly get used to. If you network with the right people you're able to learn more outside of what you do. There are helpful individuals that make day to day stressors easier to manage given it is a hospital environment.

Cons

Most of the management are friends outside of work so if you have gotten into professional/non professional disputes it can trickle to being treated differently by other management staff. It becomes harder to find them if you need assistance -- depending on the department they will rush through your training and leave you to fend for yourself even after a few weeks. Management does not keep up with the changing information so they will be behind and confused.

Pros

Quality care. Patient focused. Room for growth depending on skill but sometimes based on who you know which is a con. Lots of great providers who really care.

Cons

A lot of politics and favortism. People get promoted in leadership that don't deserve it which makes for a miserable experience for those working with them . Some senior leaders are disrespectful, overly demanding, disregard others time and effort, manipulative, aggressive, belittling, don't understand the workload of others, inflict punishment based on their feelings or because they want to, do things for their own benefit and are dishonest.
